Jim Wagner(Holdrege Fire Chief) congratulates Norris Silverburg on  50 years of service to the Fire Service. Between the two of them they have over 100 years of Service to the Fire Department. That is a lot of Experience and a lot of time away from their families! Thank you Jim and Norris for your Years of Service!
At our Fire and EMS Banquet November 8, 2014 many of out members were presented for years of service awards. Presented with 1st year badges were Charlie Heinen, Taylor Beckstead, Jeremy Klein. 5 Year Plaques (HFD) were Dustin Nantkes, Matt Klein, Matt Kellen, Paul Sabatka, 5 year Plaques (EMS) were Eric Cepel. 10 Year Blanket (HFD) Dudley Karlson. 20 Year Crystal (EMS) Tim Hoeft. 25 Year Bronze Statue (HFD) Doug Novak. 35 Year (HFD) Jeff Nantkes.

At the recent NSVFA conference four Holdrege Fire fighters were recognized for Years of Service. Lonnie DeJonge, Doug Novak, and Tim Hoeft were recognized for 25 Years of service. Norris Silverburg was Recognized for 50 years of Service. We would like to thank each of you for your dedication.

Holdrege Fire Department, Loomis Fire Department, Bertrand Fire Department, Emergency Manager Pat Gerdes, Nebraska State Patrol, Phelps County Sheriff Department, Holdrege Police Department and a whole bunch of others help put on this Mock Disaster.
On 4-26-2015 The Holdrege Volunteer Fire Department had a practice burn on a barn. The Loomis, Bertrand, and Funk Fire Departments also participated.
